Originally from East Yorkshire, Rebecca Halstead is a graduate of Edinburgh College of Art.
Before setting up her workshop in 1991, she worked as a designer in the jewellery industry in London's Bond Street and Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. Rebecca also worked as a lecturer in design for many years at Edinburgh College of Art.
All her jewellery is handmade in her Edinburgh studio where she works predominantly in silver, often with pearls and semi-precious stones. Colour and movement have always been intrinsic to Rebecca's work and her current collection features pattern and texture using decorative papers and lace.
