Shimara completed a degree in Silversmithing and Jewellery in 2001, at the Glasgow School of Art, and went on to a 2 year residency at Bishopsland Workshops in South Oxfordshire. In 2004 Shimara moved to London where she set up her own business and workshop, and in 2008 she relocated to Melbourne Australia, where she now has a beautiful garden studio, allowing her to look after her young family and continue to create her jewellery and silverware.

This beautifully textured bangle is from Shimara’s classic wrap range, inspired by birds nests and natural structures.
It’s made from hammered and textured silver wire which is then wrapped and woven before being set with 9 silver centered acorn cups. At approximately 20mm wide, this bangle is a real statement piece.
Our standard bangle sizes are: Small = 19cm, Medium = 20.5cm, Large = 22cm. Please let us know if you require a different size.
We currently have a medium sized bangle in stock (20.5cm internal circumference). All other sizes will be made to order – please allow up to 6 weeks for made to order pieces from Shimara.
