Oxidised Silver and Gold Leaf Fritillaria Flower Necklace

£130.00

Striking, oxidised silver, double fritillaria flower pendant. The concave floral forms are lined with yellow gold leaf, offering a warm, delicately textured contrast to the blackened silver.

Inspired by the fritillaria, Gabriella has transformed this delicate flower into a stunning best-selling statement piece.

The oxidised silver flowers are inlaid with fine rolled layers of 22ct gold, which reflects light with a beautiful soft glow.

The flowers measure approximately 5cm from top to bottom and are on a 40 cm (16”) silver omega chain, which is similar in feel to a snake chain, but is slightly stiffer and holds a lovely round shape.
A longer 45cm (18”) chain is available.
If you are uncertain about which chain length to choose, we also have an adjustable chain which can be worn at either 16″ or 18″.

Please specify in the boxes below what chain length you would like.

By designer: Gabriella Casemore

Gabriella Casemore’s jewellery is inspired by her fascination with the repetitive patterns found in flowers. She is also very influenced by vintage textiles and her current range was inspired by the Kimono collection at the V&A.

Starting with sheet silver she uses traditional jewellery-making techniques of soldering and riveting along with bending and folding to create sometimes complicated three dimensional pieces, along with more subtle delicate pieces.

The surface of the silver is then textured with various materials such as steel wire or put through a rolling mill with textured paper to give different reflective qualities, sometimes highlighted by polished edges.

Gabriella graduated from Brighton University in 1992, where she studied metals and ceramics. She taught in the Adult Education Department of Brighton’s City College for four years, and is now making jewellery full time from her workshop at Brass Monkeys in Hove.
